Golden-hour coastline of the Danish-German border region

Phase 1 · The vision

One Region. Thousands of Experiences.

Connecting Southern Denmark and Northern Germany through culture, tourism, nature, businesses and local communities.

One region with endless opportunities.

RegionPuls is not a Danish platform translated into German. It is not a German platform translated into Danish. It is built equally for both countries — one shared border region with a shared history, a shared culture and shared opportunities.

Danish-German cooperation

Built with people, places and organisations on both sides of the border, in all languages of the region.

Shared history and culture

Centuries of shared stories, traditions, food and craft — told as one region rather than two halves.

One culture and tourism region

Visitors do not think in borders. Neither should the way we present coasts, towns, nature and experiences.

What we're building

Everything that brings life and pulse to the region

In time, visitors and locals will be able to discover experiences, culture, nature, attractions, events, local businesses, regional initiatives and hidden gems — in one place.

About RegionPuls

Why we are building RegionPuls

The border region is full of remarkable places, people and initiatives — but they are scattered, hard to find and rarely presented as one region. RegionPuls is being built to change that.

Stronger regional visibility

Give the whole border region one clear, attractive voice instead of dozens of small, separate signals — so more Danes see and use German offers, and more Germans see and use Danish ones.

Tourism development

Help visitors find more than the obvious highlights, and help them stay longer on both sides of the border — more Danes experiencing German offers and more Germans experiencing Danish ones.

Local culture

Give museums, venues, festivals and traditions a shared regional stage — and use that shared culture to strengthen cooperation across the border and the understanding of each other.

The region

The area RegionPuls covers

RegionPuls covers one shared area on both sides of the Danish-German border. Everything we build starts here.

  • Sønderjylland (DK)
  • Kreis Nordfriesland (DE)
  • Kreis Schleswig-Flensburg (DE)
  • Flensburg (DE)

Residents live inside this area. Visitors come from outside it. Everyone is welcome — the area simply defines what we present.
